U.S. Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice
1. Scope and operator
This notice supplements the SmokeGoal Privacy Policy for residents of U.S. states with consumer health data laws, including Washington, Nevada and Connecticut, to the extent those laws apply. The operator is Andreas Gladon, Ludwigshöhe 1a, 82064 Kleindingharting, Germany; info@smokegoal.com.
2. Consumer health data
SmokeGoal can process smoking entries and times, previous and current cigarette consumption, daily and intermediate goals, check-ins, reminders, routines, cigarette and pack prices, challenges, and calculated savings, cost and time statistics. In this notice, these are collectively called “personal entries”, and the statistics, charts, goals, progress values, costs, savings, time values and other results calculated from them are called “resulting analyses”. They may reveal smoking or health-related behavior and are therefore treated by SmokeGoal as particularly sensitive information requiring special protection.
These records are supplied directly by the user or calculated from the user’s entries. They remain on the device. The operator does not receive or store them on its own servers.
3. Purposes and necessity
Local data is processed only to provide the functions requested by the user: documenting cigarette consumption, calculating progress, costs, savings and time, presenting charts, setting goals and challenges, and scheduling local reminders. Processing is limited to what is necessary for those requested functions.
4. Collection, sharing and sale
The operator does not collect the local personal entries or resulting analyses described above, does not sell them, does not disclose them to affiliates or other third parties, and does not use them for advertising, profiling or cross-context behavioral advertising. No geofencing is used around health-care facilities.
Google Play and RevenueCat process purchase and subscription data as described in the main Privacy Policy. SmokeGoal does not send them local smoking, goal or progress records and does not combine purchase data with those records on its servers.
5. Rights and requests
Subject to applicable law, users may ask whether consumer health data is being collected, access data actually held by the operator, request a list of third parties with whom it was shared, withdraw consent where consent is the basis, request correction or deletion, and appeal a refusal. For the local health records described here, the list of third parties is empty.
Local-only data can be reviewed, corrected and deleted in the app or deleted through device settings or by uninstalling the app. The operator cannot remotely retrieve or erase it. Requests concerning support messages or the pseudonymous RevenueCat support ID may be sent to info@smokegoal.com. To appeal a decision, use the same address with the subject “Privacy appeal”. We will authenticate and respond within the period required by applicable law and will not discriminate against users who exercise their rights.
6. Security, changes and contact
SmokeGoal applies data minimisation, local processing and technical safeguards appropriate to the data it actually controls. If the categories, purposes or recipients materially change, this notice will be updated before the change where required. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to info@smokegoal.com.
